Accept The Feelings You Have

One of the vital parts of recovery is to basically accept all the feelings that you have. You want to allow yourself to basically feel exactly what you feel. That is a necessary part of healing. Gradually Challenge Yourself

The difficult part of overcoming a traumatic event is that you need to take positive action. Small acts will make a really big difference and in the beginning you just have to take some really small steps. For instance, you can volunteer for something that you truly believe in. Exercising – Moving

One of the last things people want to do when affected by traumatic stress is move. However, exercising is important since it helps to burn adrenaline while releasing endorphins that boost mood. Mindfully performed physical activity will rouse the nervous system and will help to get rid of that stuck feeling. Exercising should involve both legs and arms so you basically have to get moving. Some of the recommended exercises are swimming, walking, playing basketball, dancing and running.
